FAQs

How long will the process take?
In most cases, it will take 4 to 6 weeks.

Do I need to move my furniture?
Usually not. Tim Clark Construction will determine which elevation method to use on your home. The work is often performed under the floor of the home and will not require you to move anything. For some enclosed patios, a slab separation will be performed and all the belongings in that area will need to be removed.

Do I need to move out of my home during the elevation?
Yes. Due to the nature of elevating, all of your utilities will need to be disconnected. So there will be no water, sewer, gas, electric, or steps.

How high do I need to elevate?
We will provide an elevation certificate from a certified land surveyor. This will determine the required height to raise the home above base flood elevation.

Will my walls crack?
Usually not. Tim Clark Construction uses state of the art equipment that minimizes the strain put on a home during the elevation process.
